Here is my recent letter to the editor that was printed in the Salt Lake Tribune:
I grew up on a farm in a family with 10 children, which tells you we didn’t have much money. One of the key things I learned from my parents was the value of making and living by a budget.
As a current small-business owner, I have relearned that lesson repeatedly. Budgets require self-control and the ability to give and take when unexpected circumstances arise. Nevertheless, there is simply no other way to remain solvent.
