Veterans for Chris Stewart
Open letter to State Delegates:
The United States of America was established upon the principles of selfless service and sacrifice. For generations, men and women in the United States military have stepped forward to serve their country. As veterans, we know that Chris Stewart understands the meaning of service and sacrifice. At a time when less than 20 percent of congressmen and women have any military experience, it would be in the best interest of the United States to have leaders who have sacrificed to serve our country. Chris has served his country before and will honorably do so again when he is sent to Washington D.C. to represent the people of the 2nd Congressional District.
We understand the value of freedom and cannot ignore the importance of electing honest men and women at such a critical point in our nation’s history. We presently have men and women back in Washington D.C. who do not appreciate the notion of service and sacrifice for their nation. We have ambitious politicians who seek their own advancement and power, rather than the prosperity and safety of their nation. Most current situations—a surmounting national debt, an uncontrollable appetite for spending our posterity’s future, a growing concern for national security, and the lack of honest leadership in government—only proves that we cannot hope for politicians or politically ambitious people to fix this.
Chris is not a career politician. Running for Congress has not been his life-long aspiration and is not just another step in a political career. Rather, Chris chose to serve fourteen years in the United States Air Force. He was the distinguished graduate of officer training school and pilot training. In addition to flying the B-1, he chose to fly combat rescue helicopters—the most dangerous job in the Air Force. He did so, because he believed in serving those with whom he served alongside.
Duty to country once urged Chris to serve his nation faithfully. Duty, once again, has motivated Chris to answer the call of his nation in a time when honest and courageous leadership is lacking in Washington D.C. He not only understands national security, but has lived it. He has the leadership experience to not only vote conservatively, but to change Congress. He believes in America!
We are, indeed, at a crucial point in our nation’s history. Sacrifice will be required of us all, thus it is imperative to have representatives who will sacrifice alongside us.
We therefore, not only support Chris Stewart in his run for Congress, but encourage you to send this courageous leader to Washington D.C. He will serve his country and the people whom he represents.
Defending America,
Veterans for Chris Stewart
